Social Studies Grade 3

In Elementary Social Studies Grade 3, students take a closer look at American history and civics, including studying regions of the United States and the physical and cultural characteristics of Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean Islands. Students learn about other cultures and people groups and how to address cultural misconceptions and prejudices from a biblical perspective. Students learn how to identify primary and secondary sources, including examples of each within the Bible. As students learn about the different continents and geographical features of the world, they also study where different important events in the Bible took place. Students learn about the currency of the different countries and what the Bible teaches about using money wisely. Lastly, the role and importance of government is introduced, including how Christians should respect the leaders God has placed over them.

School supplies: Ruler, three-ring binder, pencils, erasers, glue, scissors, crayons, colored pencils, tape, printer paper, and multicolored paper
