Elementary
Social Studies Grade 4
Elementary Social Studies Grade 4 describes the history of early America accurately and in a way that glorifies God and tells His story. Students develop a firm understanding of important concepts and skills related to history, geography, and economics; examine similarities between constitutional and biblical principles; and choose a state to explore, identifying the important people, places, and events that shaped its history. Students analyze grade-appropriate academic and biblical passages to reinforce reading comprehension and writing skills. The integration of recurring characters who face a variety of challenges keeps students engaged. Through these characters’ experiences, students learn to recognize that although God is with us we still face challenges—and that in those times, we should choose faith over fear.
