Elementary
Mathematics Grade 5
Elementary Mathematics Grade 5 offers tools and strategies that allow students to better make sense of and understand God’s world, enabling them to better steward His creation. Mathematic concepts such as multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, shapes, area, and volume help students become critical thinkers and problem solvers. Biblical content such as the cost of following Christ, the multiplication of evangelism, God’s role as designer of creation, the virtue of generosity, and God’s use of the weak over the strong encourages students to engage the world through a biblical lens. Students not only learn the necessary skills for navigating through the detailed calculations of life, but why and how Christians should use them in the real world. A variety of audio and visual elements have been designed to strengthen students’ engagement with the material. Practice opportunities are available at every step along the way through both on-screen and off-screen activities.
