Elementary
Language Arts Grade 3
Elementary Language Arts Grade 3 takes students on a new adventure with each module of study. As students learn new reading and writing skills, they explore space, learn about endangered animals, discover ancient civilizations, and so much more, all from a biblical perspective. During these adventures, students build foundational reading and writing skills, practice comprehension strategies with informative and literature texts, learn basic grammar rules, and develop their speaking and listening skills. Additionally, students discover biblical principles such as caring for others, teamwork, and building a relationship with God. Furthermore, students explore concepts such as the Holy Spirit and biblical covenants, and study various biblical themes found throughout Scripture. Students are exposed to the five essential components of reading (phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency) through Bible stories and engaging lessons. They focus on reading to learn with the incorporation of increasingly complex text and extensive exploration and use of vocabulary in reading and writing; and participate in informative, narrative, and opinion-writing compositions.
