MS Thinking and Learning Strategies
MS Thinking and Learning Strategies equips middle school students with critical thinking skills and test-taking strategies necessary for academic success, preparing them to succeed on reading, math, and writing assessments at the high school level. The objectives of this course go beyond mere test preparation, however. In addition to becoming familiar with common test formats, question types, and rubrics, students discover the importance of using their minds to love and glorify God. They learn that God wants us to give our best in every school subject as a way of honoring Him with our minds and aligning with His mission. Students are encouraged to view study and preparation as an act of worship and learn that God wants us to partner with Him in disciplining and developing our minds, so we can stay focused on the ultimate prize of heaven as we run the race on Earth.
